We are back at the Odeon Great Northern for four days of wonderful horror and genre film premieres.

The preview night on the 3rd Oct is sold separately and is available on our passes page.

Last year passes sold out weeks before the event, so If you want to secure your seat for the duration of Grimmfest and want to make sure you get it at the best possible price, we recommend snapping up your pass now, before they all sell out!

Over four jam packed days we will take you on a journey into the dark heart of contemporary cinema, with terrifying horrors, gripping thrillers, mind bending sci-fi, and even a little comedy thrown in for good measure. 

Keep an eye out for our mini strands this year. FEAR ON FOUR WHEELS, regulars will know that we have affection for thrillers set in and around vehicles. As well as our TERROR IN THE TREES and IN CAMERA strands for you to explore. 

We will also welcome contemporary dutch cinema with HERESY and AMSTERDAM ALERT, two incredible films that we urge you to see.

Look out, also, for our short film programmes, highlighting the very best from up-and-coming international film makers, and keep an eye out for all our customary film introductions, Q&As and signings.

A fine selection of big name stars will grace our screens this year, including; Nick Frost, Ron Perlman, Rosanna Arquette, Joel McHale, Keith David, Danny Trejo and of course A.J Bowen (A Grimmfest regular guest!) but we suspect you’ll also discover some new favorite faces from countries as diverse as Italy, Finland, Turkey and Macedonia.

Between films, there is the regular festival hub and market to explore, competitions to enter and food and drink offers to consume from our partners within the Great Northern complex. 

We promise you won’t have time to kill, you’ll barely have time to sleep!
